The Human Resources Manager will lead and direct the HR department in a manufacturing environment, overseeing recruiting, payroll administration, benefit enrollment, training, compliance, employee relations, compensation, and security. This role partners with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals, focusing on workforce development, employee engagement, and regulatory compliance. 
Key Responsibilities
- Must be a fluent Spanish speaker.
- Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate with leadership on talent acquisition, retention, succession planning, and workforce development. 
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage recruitment for professional and manufacturing roles, lead new hire orientation, and serve as liaison for immigration and sponsorship matters. 
- Payroll Management: Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, tax account registration, and review filings to ensure compliance. 
- Employee Relations & Policy Guidance: Support complex employee issues, investigations, terminations, and policy interpretation. 
- Compensation & Benefits Administration: Manage payroll updates and benefit programs, including open enrollment, COBRA, and disability claims. 
- Leave Management & Compliance: Administer FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other leave programs, ensuring legal compliance. 
- Performance Management: Lead annual and mid-year evaluations, coach managers, and support disciplinary or corrective actions. 
- HR Systems, Payroll & Records: Maintain personnel records, manage access control systems, and ensure confidentiality. 
- Employee Engagement & Events: Develop programs for engagement, recognition, and company-wide events. 
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Stay current on HR laws, facilitate audits, and reduce regulatory risks. 
- Training & Development: Design learning programs, track compliance, and support employee growth through continuing education. 
- Other Duties: Perform additional HR-related responsibilities as assigned.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification highly desired.
Experience
- 5–7 years of progressive Human Resource Generalist experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
- Prior experience processing payroll is a plus.
- Experience managing all aspects of a human resources function, including: Employee relations, Compensation and benefits administration, Staffing and recruitment, Training and development, Communications and discipline
- Experience coaching and developing employees and leadership performance.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and leave requirements, including FMLA, ADA, and other applicable regulations.
- Thorough understanding of employment-related laws and HR compliance.
- Knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation and review.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS-related software.
- Ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
- Fluent Spanish speaker.
